David R. Sandifer currently is the Chairperson of the Board Of Commissioners and the representative for District 2. David R. Sandifer and wife, Pat, own and operate Holden Beach Properties and Holden Beach Rental Services. He was born in Florence, South Carolina, and moved to Brunswick County in 1983. Before coming to Brunswick County, Mr. Sandifer worked with the airlines for 8 years, and as management for Coca Cola Company for 9 years.

• Served 2 two-year terms from 1991 to 1995 for the Town Of Holden Beach.
• Served a two-year term from 12-1996 to 12-1998, as a Brunswick County Commissioner.
• Served a four-year term from 12-1998 to 12-2002, as a Brunswick County Commissioner.
• Served a four-year term from 12-2002 to 12-2006, as a Brunswick County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.
• Serving a four-year term from 12-2006 to 12-2010, as a Brunswick County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.
