After six (6) successful years, sign-ups for the voluntary and free ACE Program (Appearance Code Enforcement) concluded on June 30, 2007. However, all citizens who have registered for the program (prior to June 30th) will be honored. Currently, there is a backlog on structural and mobile home removals. The ACE Program began in 2001 by the Board of Commissioners to improve the overall appearance of Brunswick County and to assist citizens with abatement expenses. Since the program inception, hundreds of junked-nuisance vehicles, old equipment, boats, abandoned-dilapidated mobile homes, houses, structures, sheds, garages and other out buildings have been removed by the ACE Construction Crew (Operation Services) and properly disposed of at the county landfill; all of which contributed to the beautification of our county.
