 Uninhabitable & Vacant Manufactured Homes

Abandoned and dilapidated mobile homes are difficult, expensive and almost impossible to repair. Such abandoned and dilapidated mobile homes are a visual blight on the landscape of Brunswick County and must be removed to improve the aesthetics in a tourist-oriented county. They create public health and environmental problems, pose fire and safety hazards to unsupervised children, and therefore, create an unreasonable danger and nuisance to the public. Code enforcement officers inspect such abandoned and dilapidated mobile homes, send out “notices of violations”, post mobile homes in violation, issue citations, and abate code violations (when applicable) at the owner’s expense, plus attend court litigation when needed concerning lien action.
