You can choose from over 80 events to compete in including golf, bowling, swimming, shuffleboard, table tennis, running, walking, and horseshoes. Brunswick County Gator Sr Games also offers competition in SilverArts, which includes all heritage, literary, and performing arts.
Qualifiers in Brunswick County Gator Senior Games are invited to compete each Fall in NC State Finals. Brunswick County Gator Senior Games is sanctioned by North Carolina Senior Games and one of 54 local Senior Games offered state wide by the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services. A Day of Golf at Bald Head Island

The Bald Head Island Club Golf Course is a magnificent golfing experience. This 18 hole seaside golf course winds it's way over dunes, around lagoons, along the ocean, and through a maritime forest. Enjoy the experience of playing a course of almost unparalleled wild beauty. Many of the holes are so undisturbed, they are bordered by the still lively natural habitats of herons, egrets, foxes, and alligators.
On Bald Head Island, golf is more than a game. It's a sightseeing excursion!
Cost: $85/per person (includes ferry transportation, greens fee, cart fee, boxed lunch)

Brunswick County Parks and Recreation is currently forming cheerleading and dance teams open to women and men aged 55 and older, who are residents of Brunswick County.
No tryouts, no fees, just fun!

Sturgeon Creek and Eagle Island are just minutes away from the Town of Leland and offer great chances to view wildlife in their natural habitat. This adventure is and easy 5.5 mile kayaking adventure that is timed to take advantage of the falling tides, allowing you to paddle with the outgoing tide. Enjoy the beauty of Sturgeon Creek and Eagle Island.

Spring Kayaking Adventure on the Black River (Full Day)-updated 811/30/12

The Black River is a popular paddling destination for local kayakers to explore the natural beauty of Eastern North Carolina's woodlands. It is also popular because of its numerous sandbars found along its banks and its sandy bottoms. This river's blackwater swamps contain some of the oldest known living trees in eastern North America. Many wildlife species inhabit the river's floodplain, including turkey, deer, bobcat, river otter, black bear, and more. Plan to bring a sack lunch and enjoy a picnic along this beautiful river.

Town Creek flows southeast and empties into the Cape Fear River just downstream of downtown Wilmington. It is a prime wildlife habitat and much of it is protected. Town Creek is a wonderful location to view wildlife and birds that call the Cape Fear area home. The creek is a slow moving blackwater stream that is easily paddled by those new to kayaking adventures.
