The Child Care Health Nurse program is funded by Smart Start
and the Brunswick County Partnership For Children. This new program
will implement the key components of healthy child care. Our goal is to
assure that children 0-5 years old are in optimum health and best
prepared to succeed in school. The program provides children and their
families the opportunity to maximize their health and development by
assisting them in obtaining health care support services. The program
provides on-site health and developmental screenings with referral and
follow up. The program seeks to assure that all children are
age-appropriately immunized, providing health and safety programs for
children, providers, and parents.
