The Laboratory Services program is available to individuals who meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Male or Female
2. Brunswick County Health Department clinic patients or private doctor's patient*
3. 150% (max.) federal poverty level
4. No residency requirements.

* Lead screening, cholesterol screening, sexually-transmitted disease (STD) testing, or pregnancy testing does not require a referral.

Laboratory in-house testing includes:

• Blood Glucose
• 1-hour Glucose Tolerance test*
• Cholesterol
• Complete Blood Count (CBC) /Differential / Platelet Count
• Hct
• Complete Urinalysis
• Dipstick Urine
• Microscopic Exam
• Pregnancy Test
• Wet Prep
• Stool Occult Blood
• Gram Stain
• Gonorrhea Culture (GC)
• Stat Strep
• Water Testing

Reference Laboratory testing includes:

• Chemistry (doctor-ordered)
• Hepatitis Panel (doctor-ordered): Clinic ordered is free
• Liver Function (doctor-ordered)
• Pap Test (clinic-ordered)
• Thyroid Panel (clinic-or doctor-ordered)
• Trust (clinic-or doctor-ordered): Clinic ordered is free
• Blood Lead age 1 year to 5 years: Free
• Rubella Titer (clinic-or doctor-ordered): OB Clinic is free
• HIV (free; walk-ins welcome): Free
• Chlamydia (clinic-ordered): Free
• Urine Culture (doctor-ordered)
• TB - Sputum (clinic-ordered): Free
• Blood Type (OB clinic or doctor ordered)
• RH Factor (OB clinic or doctor ordered)
• Antibody Screen (OB clinic or doctor ordered)

All findings are referred to the ordering physician, whether clinic doctor or private doctor.

Time: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM (outpatients)
