The Brunswick County Pediatric Clinic provides diagnosis and
treatment services by a board certified pediatrician to those children
who require a higher level of care than the Pediatric Primary Care
Clinic can provide. The clinic accepts only referrals from the
Pediatric Primary Care program, the public health nurse screening
programs, the Child Services Coordination program, as well as from
other agencies.
Who Program Serves
The Pediatric Clinic is available to those persons who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Male or Female
- Birth to 21 years of age
- Referred from Pediatric Primary Care Clinic; nurse screening health
check clinics; or other referring agencies such as public schools, day
care centers, social services, etc.
- ___% (max.) federal poverty level
- Brunswick County resident
Services Provided
During the exam, a Pediatrician:
- Performs a well-baby exam on newborns, just entering the child
health program, referral exams on children whose problems require a
higher level of medical care or whose problems are beyond the scope of
a nurse practitioner's expertise. Also treat children.
- Advises child's guardian of the proper way to treat the problems that the doctor has diagnosed.
Any abnormal findings are referred to a specialist.
Clinic Hours
Days: 1st and 4th Monday of each month.
Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Day: 2nd Monday of each month.
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Appointment: required; referrals only. Sick patient's are accepted on a walk-in basis as schedule permits.
