The Brunswick County Parks & Recreation Department offers a number of programs especially for seniors. The programs offer fun, fellowship, and fitness.

Participant must provide clubs. Preregistration is required by calling Khrystye at 910-253-2677, or email your name, phone number, and age to Khrystye Haselden.

Registration is not complete until tournament fee is paid.

Add a little fun and exercise to your life - become a Brunswick County Senior Games Cheerleader and/or Dancer!
Absolutely no experience required!
Brunswick County Parks and Recreation is currently forming cheerleading and dance teams open to women and men aged 55 and older, who are residents of Brunswick County.

No tryouts, no fees, just fun!
These teams practice weekly and perform throughout the area.
Practice is held each Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Shallotte Senior Center.

What is Brunswick County Senior Gator Games??

Gator Sr Games is much more than friendly competition in athletics and arts. People 55 and older can participate and stay active, renew old skills, learn new ones, and exercise a positive outlook on life. It is a fun and healthy approach to keeping the body, mind, and spirit fit while enjoying the company of friends, family, spectators, and volunteers.

You can choose from over 80 events to compete in including golf, bowling, swimming, shuffleboard, table tennis, running, walking, and horseshoes. Brunswick County Gator Sr Games also offers competition in SilverArts, which includes all heritage, literary, and performing arts.


Qualifiers in Brunswick County Gator Senior Games are invited to compete each Fall in NC State Finals. Brunswick County Gator Senior Games is sanctioned by North Carolina Senior Games and one of 54 local Senior Games offered state wide by the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services.
