"No-till" is a best management practice, or one method for reducing soil erosion and improving water quality. In existence since 1993, the No-Till Drill Program offers drills for rent (no eligibility requirements). The drill is 10' wide, and is raised/lowered with hydraulic cylinders. A tractor with a minimum of 70 horse power is recommended for use with the drill.

How To Obtain

Contact the Brunswick County Soil & Water Conservation office to request a drill. You will be put on the calendar, and will receive the drill as soon as it is available.

Fee: $5 per acre, with a minimum of $50 per rental.
