Big Sweep
NC BIG SWEEP is a statewide program that has developed into a worldwide event. NC Big Sweep originated as a coastal cleanup and then expanded inland. NC Big Sweep now runs from August 1 until October 31. All 100 North Carolina counties participate along with over 90 other countries. NC Big Sweep will be a huge success only if the residents of Brunswick County come together as a TEAM. If you have an organization planning a cleanup event during this time frame or want to find out how to get involved in this event please contact Kimberley Thompson at (910)253-2524 or by email. This will ensure that your group is counted as part of the NC Big Sweep Event. By doing this you can receive supplies such as vests, bags and more.
As a resident or visitor of North Carolina you can take pride in participating in this event that started right here in the beautiful state of North Carolina and developed into a worldwide event!
