System Pressure Advisory Rescinded: Part of Boiling Spring Lakes / El sistema a resumido sus servicios y operaciones normales

Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on October 17 and 18, 2018, water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities located in Boiling Spring Lakes on E. Boiling Spring Rd. and all connecting roads off E. Boiling Spring Rd. on both sides between North Lake Dr. and the dam, are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.

There are no longer any System Pressure Advisory for Brunswick County Public Utilities.

This notice is issued and effective October 19, 2018.

Brunswick County Shelter Closing, Voluntary Evacuation Lifted Thursday Evening

The Brunswick County shelter established at West Brunswick High School will close, and the voluntary evacuation for residents in unincorporated areas who live in low-lying or flood-prone areas or storm-damaged homes will be lifted, effective at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11.

Brunswick County’s State of Emergency and burn ban will also be lifted at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Citizens who need assistance can still call the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 910-253-5383.

Brunswick County government offices will be open on a regular schedule Friday, Oct. 12.

Drivers should remember that the ground in many areas was already saturated prior to the arrival of Hurricane Michael, should stay alert and exercise caution when driving, and should remember not to drive through standing water but to turn around and find an alternative route.
