Invitation to Bid: Ocean Isle Beach Park Phase II

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018, in the Brunswick County Parks and Recreation Department, Building G, Bolivia, North Carolina, for the construction of the Ocean Isle Beach Park Phase 2 Upgrade, and shortly thereafter the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. The contract shall be Single Prime. A general description of the work includes:

Construction layout, grading, erosion control, storm water drainage, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, paved entrance drive and parking, concrete sidewalk, four new baseball fields, fencing, landscaping, irrigation system, basketball courts, pickleball courts, pressbox/concession/bathroom building, pre-engineered picnic shelters, other ancillary site construction, and minor roadway improvements for an existing NCDOT roadway in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. n Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.

Pre-Bid Meeting: An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Brunswick County Parks and Recreation Department, Building G, Bolivia, North Carolina.
Site Visitation: Bidders are encouraged to make a site inspection of the proposed construction area on their own time. Ocean Isle Beach Park is presently an existing public park open to the general public during normal business hours. Brunswick County reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. A 5% bid bond or deposit is required. Brunswick County has implemented a Minority Business Enterprise Policy that requires Contractors to exhibit a good-faith effort to contact minority business subcontractors whose work on the project would represent 10% of the total value of the work. Contractors must be properly licensed. Additional instructions to bidders are included in the Contract Documents.
