System Pressure Advisory Rescinded: Part of Boiling Spring Lakes / El sistema a resumido sus servicios y operaciones normales

Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on October 17 and 18, 2018, water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities located in Boiling Spring Lakes on E. Boiling Spring Rd. and all connecting roads off E. Boiling Spring Rd. on both sides between North Lake Dr. and the dam, are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.

There are no longer any System Pressure Advisory for Brunswick County Public Utilities.

This notice is issued and effective October 19, 2018.

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018, in the Large Conference Room in Building I at the Brunswick County Government Complex, for the construction of: US 74/76 Warehouse Fire Protection Main and shortly thereafter the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. The contract shall be Single Prime. A general description of the work includes:

The project is separated into two distinct work areas, the water line and the appurtenances along Malmo Loop Road and U.S. 74-76 which is being funded by a Golden Leaf grant and the Bailey Street and Randall Street water line and appurtenances which are being funded solely by Brunswick County. The first component of the project includes approximately 8,500 linear feet of 12 IN water line and appurtenances along Malmo Loop Road and U.S. 74/76. The second component of the project includes approximately 900 linear feet of 12 IN water line and appurtenances along Bailey Street and Randall Street. The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.

Pre-Bid Meeting: An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders and vendors on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Large Conference Room in Building I at the Brunswick County Government Complex.
Site Visitation: Individual inspection of the proposed construction site is allowed at any time during daylight hours.
Copies of the Contract Documents may be purchased for $200.00 at the following location after Tuesday, January 16, 2018: (cash or check/money order payable to HDR Engineering, Inc. of the Carolinas)

Brunswick County reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. A 5% bid bond or deposit is required. Brunswick County has implemented a Minority Business Enterprise Policy that requires Contractors to exhibit a good-faith effort to contact minority business subcontractors whose work on the project would represent 10% of the total value of the work. Contractors must be properly licensed. Additional instructions to bidders are included in the Contract Documents.
