RESCINDED: Scheduled Water Outage: Some Customers In Bolivia

Due to construction, the water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities will be out of service in Bolivia from 3843 to 4398 Business 17, Wilson St, Corbett St, Berkley Ave, 27 to 178 Danford Rd, Huron Ln, Knox St, Cox St, Mercer St, Green Lewis Rd, Jones St and James St on Wednesday, 1/30/2019 from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Outages in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further notification is issued.
