The State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement met on August 5 in Winston-Salem to consider a petition to establish a one-stop early voting plan for Brunswick County.

Brunswick County submitted two plans for consideration; one plan included voting on one Sunday and a second plan that did not include Sunday voting. The State Board approved the proposal which includes voting on Sunday, October 28 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at satellite locations. This will be the first time Sunday voting is offered in Brunswick County. Click here for a copy of the schedule that was approved.

“We all agree that voting is a fundamental right of every American citizen,” said Randy Pelton, Chairman of the Brunswick County Board of Elections. “We hope all voters in Brunswick County exercise that right in the upcoming election.”
