RESCINDED: System Pressure Advisory: 10168, 10170, 10172, 10174 and 10176 Beach Dr. in Calabash

11.09.2017
Please note: This notice has been rescinded. All affected customers have been notified directly with door hangers.

The water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities in all units at Buildings 10168, 10170, 10172, 10174 and 10176 Beach Dr. in Calabash (Stack Shacks) are experiencing periods of low pressure and outages due to repairs being made to the water line. Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

The properties on Beach Drive affected by the system pressure advisory.

Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.
