System Pressure Advisory: Certain Buildings at the Brunswick County Government Complex

Please note: This advisory has been rescinded. It only affected certain buildings at the Brunswick County Government Complex. No other customers were affected.

The water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities at the Brunswick County Complex (buildings F, G, H, K, L, M, and N, the School Bus Garage, County Garage and Warehouse, will experiencing periods of low water pressure and outages due to repairs on a mainline leak near building L. Water will be shut down Thursday the 12th at 5:15 pm. Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.
