The water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities in Brunswick County inside Bolivia city limits from 11 Cox St to 4398 Reynolds Ln SE including streets between such as Mercer St, Green Lewis Rd, Jones St, James St, Knox St, Danford Rd (27 to 178), Wilson St and Berkley Ave are experiencing periods of low water pressure and outages due to a main line rupture caused by construction work. Periods of low, or no, pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
