RESCINDED: System Pressure Advisory: Some Roads In/Near Calabash

01.09.2019
Please note: This notice has been rescinded.

The water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities on E. Calabash Dr., East Calabash Dr. SW, W. Calabash Dr., Bonaparte Dr., Bonaparte Dr. SW, Woodbine Rd., Ash Pl., Mallard Ct., Marshview Ln., Marshview Dr., Townview Pl., Oyster Ct., and Oak Ridge Plantation Dr. are experiencing periods of low water pressure and outages caused by a main line break in the area. Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Customers along the highlighted roads are affected.

Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.
