RESCINDED: System Pressure Advisory: Tree Shore Circle and Sandalwood Drive near Ocean Isle Beach

Please note: This advisory has been rescinded. All affected customers have been notified directly with door hangers.

The water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities in Brunswick County on Tree Shore Circle (1842-1806),1805 Sandlewood Dr. and 1813 Sandlewood Dr, are experiencing periods of low water pressure and outages due to a main line rupture caused by construction work. Periods of low, or no, pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.

Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advises that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.

Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.
