Recycling: Curbside & Drop Off

Brunswick County partners with Sonoco Recycling for the processing and marketing of collected recycled materials.

Important Reminders

  • Empty out all food and liquids.
  • Empty and rinse all accepted plastic, metal, and glass recyclable materials.
  • Remove tape from cardboard boxes and flatten cardboard.
  • Do not bag your recyclables! Return bags to grocery stores and participating retail stores for proper recycling.

Recycling: Curbside Collection

GFL Environmental offers curbside recycling collection to all residents of Brunswick County. There is an annual fee for the service, which includes the cost of the 96-gallon, blue roll-out cart and biweekly recycling collection. Recycling: Drop-off Sites

As part of Brunswick County's solid waste management system, the Solid Waste and Recycling Division collects a variety of materials for recycling. Our team services 13 drop-off sites throughout the county. These sites are for the convenience of Brunswick County residents that want to recycle materials that would otherwise be placed in their garbage containers.

Green dumpsters are provided at the following sites for all county residents and property owners to drop off their single-stream recycling:

Brunswick County Landfill

The landfill is open from 7:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and 7:30 am to 3 pm on Saturday.

Brunswick County Convenience Centers

The convenience centers are open from 8 am to 6 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Brunswick County Parks

Park hours are based on Daylight Savings Time. In the summer months, the Parks are open 8 am to 10 pm. In the winter months, the Parks are open 8 am to 9 pm.

Note: Park locations only accept glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and jugs, metal food and drinks cans, food and drink cartons, paper, and cardboard. Other items are NOT accepted.

Brunswick County Government Center

An additional location is available to residents at:
