Accepted Items

All Accepted Items:

Plastic

  • Plastic Cartons (Cartons used for milk, juice, soup, broth, wine, cream, egg substitute cartons, etc. Empty and rinse clean before recycling.)
  • Plastic Containers (Milk jugs, soda, water bottles, and detergent bottles. Empty and rinse out the container. Spray nozzles should be removed and discarded. We do NOT accept containers that contained motor oil or pesticides.)
  • Plastic Bottles (Bottles used for water, soda, condiments, etc. Empty and rinse clean before recycling.)
  • Plastic Tubs (Empty and rinse clean before recycling.)
  • Plastic Jugs (Jugs used for laundry detergent, drinks, etc. Empty and rinse clean before recycling.)
  • Plastic Jars (Empty and rinse clean before recycling.)

Metal

  • All Cans (Any metal container used for soup, pet food, vegetables, condensed milk, etc. Empty and rinse out cans before recycling.)

Glass

  • Glass Bottles (Remove the lid, empty contents, and rinse clean before recycling. Does not need to be color separated.)
  • Glass Jars (Remove the lid, empty contents, and rinse clean before recycling. Does not need to be color separated.)

Paper

  • Books (Softcover books can be recycled "as is". For Hardcover books, remove and discard the spine and front and back covers.)
  • Cardboard (Flatten cardboard boxes and remove tape. Do not leave Styrofoam in the cardboard containers.)
  • Cartons (Cartons used to hold liquids like juice, milk, stocks/broths, etc. Empty and lightly rinse cartons to remove leftover residue and reduce contamination.)
  • Mixed Paper (Office paper, magazines, paper bags, cereal and food boxes, craft paper, wrapping paper, junk mail, brochures, catalogs, and phone books. Shredded paper is not accepted.)
  • Newspaper (Newspaper inserts can be recycled as well.)
  • Paper Cups or Cartons (Paper cups, such as to-go cups used at restaurants and coffee shops. Empty and lightly rinse cups to remove leftover residue and reduce contamination.)

Non-Accepted Items

Please keep these items out to avoid contamination:

  • Aerosol Cans
  • All batteries (car, lithium, etc.)
  • Aluminum foil
  • Ceramic items (dishes, plates, cups, pots, etc.)
  • Clothing or textiles (fabric)
  • Construction debris or yard waste (scrap metal/wood, nails, etc.)
  • Diapers
  • Electronics
  • Food-tainted items

  • Hardcover books
  • Household glass (windows, lightbulbs, etc.)
  • Liquid waste (paint, cleaners, etc.)
  • Medical Waste
  • Plastic bags/wrap
  • Plastic cups, lids, and straws
  • Receipts
  • Shredded paper
  • Styrofoam/packing peanuts
  • Tanglers (cords, hoses, wires, etc.)
  • Tires
  • Toys
