Sara LaVere Sworn in as President of the NC Association of Directors of Elections

Bolivia, NC – Sara LaVere has been elected president of the NC Association of Directors of Elections (NCADE). LaVere was sworn in on Monday, March 26, 2023, during the organization’s conference in New Bern, NC.

LaVere has served as treasurer of the NCADE for three years and has extensive experience in election administration. She currently serves as the director of elections for Brunswick County, NC, where she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the election process.

As president of NCADE, LaVere will lead the association in its mission to promote the professionalization of election administration across the state.  Election administration is a crucial aspect of democracy, and NCADE is committed to ensuring that all election officials have access to the training, resources, and support they need to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.

“I am honored to serve as president of NCADE and look forward to working with my fellow members to ensure that all North Carolina voters have access to fair and secure elections,” said LaVere. “As we continue to navigate the challenges of the current political landscape, I am committed to upholding the integrity of our democratic process and promoting transparency and accountability in all aspects of election administration.”
