[ARCHIVED] Brunswick County seeking applicants for Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

MEDIA RELEASE

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County is encouraging residents who live in Electoral District 1 to apply for potential appointment to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Interested residents should apply by 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024. The Board of Commissioners will consider eligible applicants for appointment during the regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be from Electoral District 1 and be a registered voter of Brunswick County.

The board meets on the second Tuesday of every month to make recommendations that advance parks, recreation, open space, environmental conservation, and land preservation efforts that enhance the quality of life for all people in Brunswick County.

How To Apply

Applicants for any board or committee opportunity must be a resident in Brunswick County. Some boards may have specific eligibility or residency requirements based on your county commissioner district. Find your district on our online electoral districts map or on your voter registration card.
