Brunswick County Chairman Mike Forte has provided the following statement on behalf of the Brunswick County Board of Commissioners:
"I am very saddened to hear of the passing of former Brunswick County Board of Education Member and long-time educator Mr. Henry E. Lemon Jr. On behalf of the Board of Commissioners, I extend our heartfelt and sincerest condolences to his family, friends, former students, colleagues, and the Brunswick County Schools family at this time.
"Mr. Lemon was a devoted educator, an inspiring public servant, and a dedicated leader in our community. Dedicating one’s life and service to the education of children and teens is an incredibly rewarding and admirable cause. We are tremendously grateful for the service Ed gave day in and day out for decades to give every child in this county the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in the classroom and beyond."
