MEDIA RELEASE
BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County’s Health Services and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) departments have partnered to launch a new resource portal, which will serve as a one-stop hub for health and wellness-related resources and information in the county.
The Brunswick County Health and Wellness Resource Portal is an interactive tool designed to connect residents, caregivers, providers, and visitors to resources in a convenient and practical format. The portal supports the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), which is completed every three years to identify and address key health issues in Brunswick County.
Community members and visitors can use this free portal to find local resources including assistance programs, clinical services, community centers, fresh food markets, mental health services, wellness programs, and more. The portal also includes information on local parks, trails, and recreational activities.
“Brunswick County Health Services is excited to offer a centralized resource guide that is useful and accessible to the people in our county,” Health Director David Howard said. “Our commitment to addressing community health issues and supporting the well-being of our community is what motivated us to create this new tool.”
To explore the Brunswick County Health and Wellness Resource Portal, visit brunswickcountync.gov/Interactive-Maps.
County partners and community members are invited to provide feedback on the portal and share new health resources with staff by using the Request New Resource button on the main page of the portal.
Those who are interested in being added to the portal as a resource can contact the Brunswick County Health Promotion team at 910.253.2350 or via email.
