SOUTHPORT, N.C. – As part of the N.C. 211 widening project underway in Brunswick County, a portion of N.C. 133 (Long Beach Road) is scheduled to close next week.
The road near Southport-Supply Road is anticipated to be closed through mid-summer 2025 while an N.C. Department of Transportation contractor makes several improvements, including build a bridge over N.C. 211.
Drivers needing to get around the construction will be detoured onto Old Long Beach Road. Drivers should be alert to the new traffic pattern and slowdown in the area.
