BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Government will open on a delayed schedule Friday, Sept. 27 due to inclement weather from Hurricane Helene. All Brunswick County Government offices, libraries, parks, health clinic, social services, and other facilities will open to the public at 10 a.m.
Should conditions warrant additional changes to this schedule, Brunswick County will share them through our website and regular communications channels.
Brunswick County Emergency Management asks residents and visitors to stay vigilant and continue to avoid any flooded or barricaded roads and areas. Brunswick County has an online map of current road conditions and closures in real time.
Before you leave, also check for active road incidents on North Carolina Department of Transportation's DriveNC.gov map, the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, NC’s social media pages and mobile app, and local municipal pages.
The Brunswick County Emergency Operations Center is currently at Level 2 (Partial Activation), with essential public safety and response staff monitoring and responding to the storm.
Brunswick County is sharing the latest weather information from the National Weather Service in Wilmington and safety reminders concerning Helene at brunswickcountync.gov/helene.
