BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Government will open to the public on a delayed schedule Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, due to projected winter weather conditions. All Brunswick County Government offices, parks, social services, health clinic, landfill, and other facilities will open at 10:30 a.m. and libraries will open at 11 a.m. unless additional closures or schedule changes become necessary.
If any appointments with Brunswick County Health Services are interrupted due to this delayed opening, contact Health Services to reschedule. Health Services will assist with re-scheduling appointments as soon as possible.
GFL Environmental intends to collect curbside trash and recycling carts on Thursday, Feb. 20. GFL Environmental is monitoring the weather conditions and may open on a delayed schedule Thursday if necessary. Thursday customers with questions about their cart collections should contact GFL Environmental at 910.253.4177.
Brunswick County is monitoring weather conditions and will communicate any changes with the public and staff should conditions require additional changes to this modified schedule. Brunswick County will share any updates or changes on its operations at brunswickcountync.gov.
The U.S. National Weather Service Wilmington, NC Forecast Office (NWS-Wilmington) is sharing information and updates regarding the winter weather conditions online at weather.gov/ilm/winter.
