[ARCHIVED] Brunswick County parks reopen, most programming resumes Wednesday, Feb. 4

PUBLIC NOTICE

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Parks and Recreation will reopen all county parks and resume most programs and leagues starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 4, 2026.

The Youth Basketball Program remains postponed due to the closure of county school facilities. Parks and Recreation will notify participants when this program will resume.

Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026

  • County Parks: Reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Park Rentals: All rentals will continue starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Programs and Leagues: The Brunswick County Youth Basketball Program remains postponed until further notice. All other programs and leagues will continue as scheduled starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Parks were originally closed and all activities suspended on Saturday, Jan. 31, due to inclement weather from Winter Storm Gianna.
