BOLIVIA, N.C. – The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners were pleased to recognize Jackson Boldt and Lucas Boldt on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with proclamations at the Nov. 18 meeting.

Jackson and Lucas are seniors at South Brunswick High School and are members of Troop 262. They both have contributed many hours to community service and have volunteered for several projects, including assisting fellow scouts with their Eagle Scout project completion.

Jackson Boldt, in cooperation with the Town of Holden Beach, renovated the former kayak launch zone by Holden Beach Town Hall. In addition, he built a handicap access shower ramp for the handicap access to Holden Beach and also coordinated supplies and addressed any safety concerns during the project.

Lucas Boldt, in cooperation with South Brunswick High School, built an outdoor classroom consisting of seven benches. With his leadership, he designed, organized and built benches for the benefit of students and staff and also coordinated supplies and addressed any safety concerns during the project.

Brunswick County congratulates Jackson and Lucas on their special achievement and thanks them for their service projects that benefit our county.
