System Pressure Advisories Rescinded

Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on January 15th, 2020, on Old Ocean Highway (Government Center Dr. to Old Johnson Rd.), Old Johnson Rd. Randolphville Rd. (Old Ocean Highway to Galloway Rd.), Mary Frances Ct., Minnie’s Dream Ln., Zim’s Trail, Autumn Ln., Johnsonville Rd., Evan’s Rd., North Piney Grove Rd., George T. Bryant Rd., Bryant Hawkins Dr., Mantua Ave., and in the Brunswick County Government Complex, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users in this area are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.  The system has resumed normal operations.

This notice is issued and effective on January 16, 2020.

(Business 17 to Jones St.), Knox St., Business 17 (Green Lewis Rd. to Cox St.), Cox St., and Mercer St., Brunswick County Public Utilities water users in this area are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.  The system has resumed normal operations.

This notice is issued and effective on January 16, 2020.

Brunswick County GenX Test Results

02.01.2018

Brunswick County has received additional results of testing for GenX in the water supply. Samples taken on Jan. 3 revealed levels of 27.4 parts per trillion in the Northwest Water Treatment Plant’s raw water source, and 24.1 parts per trillion in the finished water source. Samples taken on Jan. 11 revealed levels of 32.1 parts per trillion in the Northwest Water Treatment Plant’s raw water source, and 29.1 parts per trillion in the finished water source.

NC Health and Human Services has established the health goal for exposure to GenX in drinking water at 140 nanograms per liter (also referred to as parts per trillion).
