MEDIA RELEASE

BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Health Services is adding a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic this Friday, Nov. 12 at Town Creek Park in Winnabow to offer anyone aged 12 and up another opportunity to get vaccinated. The Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine for children aged 5-11 will not be offered at this pop-up clinic.

Appointments are not necessary at the pop-up clinic. COVID-19 vaccines are free and insurance is not required.

Health Services will have all three vaccine types—Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and J&J—at the pop-up clinic. Vaccinations will be available for all community members aged 12 and older, however those aged 17 or younger are only eligible for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The additional third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna (mRNA) vaccines for moderately to severely immunocompromised people, and booster shots for people aged 65 and up or 18-64 that meet qualifications will also be available at the pop up clinic.
