Brunswick County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD)
The Brunswick County VOAD is a collective group of local non-profits who assist in meeting the unmet needs of individuals and families (e.g. homelessness/emergency shelter, food, clothing, utilities assistance, etc.).

Diaper Bank, Brunswick Baptist Association
The Brunswick Baptist Association hosts a diaper bank every Wednesday at 1041 Old Ocean Highway, Bolivia (unless it falls directly before or on a holiday). Individuals must be referred by the Department of Social Services, a pastor of a local church, or a medical office. All referrals must be made by email no later than the Tuesday before. Phone referrals will not be accepted.
The referral must include the individual’s name receiving the diapers, the number of children needing diapers and their sizes, and the person who is making the referral with their complete contact information. All referrals must be emailed to brunsbaptist@atmc.net.
Additionally, the recipient is required to present a photo ID. More information needed? Call The Brunswick Baptist Association 910.754.7979.

Non-Profit & Volunteer Organizations

Brunswick Family Assistance (BFA) is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in operation since 1981. Brunswick Family Assistance is dedicated to improving the lives of families and individuals in crisis in Brunswick County, who are willing to help themselves, by providing emergency assistance, educational and skills development programs.

At Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc., it is our mission to promote the well-being and enhance the quality of life for all senior adults of Brunswick County. We are the lead nonprofit agency providing programs and services to adults aged 60 and older. Exceptions made for the Family Caregiver Support Program, Food Pantries, Prescription Assistance Program, and Senior Health Insurance Program. We offer health & wellness programs for adults aged 50-59 for an annual fee of $99/yr.

Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM) enables people to live safely in their own homes preserving their dignity and independence through urgent home repairs, hurricane recovery, and accessibility upgrades.
