Key Points

  • As of April 6, there are 26 positive cases of COVID-19, 124 pending test results and 626 confirmed negative test results, totaling 776 tests administered so far. Of the 26 positive cases, 13 have recovered; one is a death associated to COVID-19.
  • The location of COVID-19 cases in Brunswick County is a frequently asked question. Patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 are in isolation in their homes located within the majority of zip codes throughout the county. Brunswick County citizens should assume that community transmission of COVID-19 is present in their neighborhoods and take the appropriate precautions.

  • If you recently traveled to Brunswick County from another country, another state, or even another county in North Carolina, you need to take responsible, proactive measures to quarantine yourself and any fellow travelers now. Brunswick County Health Services is located at 25 Courthouse Drive (Building A) in Bolivia and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Health Services, located at 25 Courthouse Drive, includes many clinical services. Please note that some programs and services offered through the clinic have different hours or require appointments; check the pages for those programs or services for specific information.

Health Services has a Leland WIC office located in the Family Resource Center at 1492 Village Road NE in Leland. (Call them at 910-253-2877.) The Leland office is open:

  • Monday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-6 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-4 p.m.
  • Thursday: 1-5 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-4 p.m.

Health Services has a Shallotte WIC office located in the East Gate Plaza at 150-9 Holden Beach Road in Shallotte. (Call them at 910-253-2878.) The Shallotte office is open:

  • Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-4 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 1-6 p.m.
