System Pressure Advisories Rescinded

Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on January 15th, 2020, on Old Ocean Highway (Government Center Dr. to Old Johnson Rd.), Old Johnson Rd. Randolphville Rd. (Old Ocean Highway to Galloway Rd.), Mary Frances Ct., Minnie’s Dream Ln., Zim’s Trail, Autumn Ln., Johnsonville Rd., Evan’s Rd., North Piney Grove Rd., George T. Bryant Rd., Bryant Hawkins Dr., Mantua Ave., and in the Brunswick County Government Complex, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users in this area are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.  The system has resumed normal operations.

This notice is issued and effective on January 16, 2020.

(Business 17 to Jones St.), Knox St., Business 17 (Green Lewis Rd. to Cox St.), Cox St., and Mercer St., Brunswick County Public Utilities water users in this area are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.  The system has resumed normal operations.

This notice is issued and effective on January 16, 2020.

About the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council

Mission Statement:

To strengthen and support appropriate programs through incorporating prevention and intervention strategies in a comprehensive juvenile crime prevention effort.

Vision Statement:

To promote community-wide commitment that will ensure the safety, security and quality of life for our children and their families.

JCPC Responsibilities:

  • Review the needs of juveniles in the county who are at risk of delinquency or who have been adjudicated undisciplined or delinquent.
  • Review the resources available to address those needs.
  • Prioritize community risk factors.
  • Determine the services needed to address those problems areas.
  • Develop a request for proposals for services needed.
  • Submit a written annual plan to the county commissioners for approval.
  • Evaluate program performance.
  • Increase public awareness of the causes of delinquency and strategies to reduce the problem.
  • Develop strategies to intervene, respond to and treat the needs of juveniles at risk of delinquency.
  • Provide funds for treatment, counseling, or rehabilitation services.
