Scheduled Water Outage Advisory RESCINDED - Old Mill Rd. and Main St. Area, Navassa

Based on the findings of the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on 09.18.2025, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users located at:
- Old Mill Road. (addresses – 1050 to 1300)
- Main Street (address - 299)
- Sandy Lane (addresses -1395 to 1521)
in Navassa are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption. The system has resumed normal operation. Customers have been notified by door hangers.

09.18.2025- Scheduled Water Outage – Old Mill Rd. & Main St. - Navassa
Due to valve replacements, Brunswick County water customers in the Old Mill Road and Main Street, Navassa will be out of service beginning at 9:00 am on 09.18.2025 to allow for the work to be done. Service is expected to be restored before 5:00 pm on 09.18.2025. This outage affects the addresses listed below:
- Old Mill Road. (addresses – 1050 to 1300)
- Sandy Lane (addresses - 1395 to 1521
- Main Street (address - 299)
Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time. Please note that multiple fire hydrants will be out of service during this time. Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Twenty-two (22) residential connections will be affected. Customers have been notified by door hangers and ReadyBrunswick. Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted.
