Help Us Find Suitable Polling Places for Our Growing Community

Board of Elections Posted on June 14, 2024

As our county continues to grow, we are in urgent need of additional polling places to ensure every citizen can easily exercise their right to vote. We are reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying suitable locations that meet our specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements for Polling Places:

  • Open Meeting Room/Fellowship Hall: The facility must have a large, open room to accommodate voting activities.
  • Parking and Lighting: A minimum of 30 parking spaces is required, with adequate lighting in the parking area to ensure voter safety.
  • Power Supply: The room must have ample power supply and multiple outlets to support voting equipment.
  • Exclusive Use: The space should not be shared with another group, organization, or business on Election Day.
  • Accessibility: The building and room must be accessible to individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair access.
  • Traffic Accessibility: The location should be easily accessible by road to ensure voters can reach the polling place without difficulty.
  • Public Accessibility: The location should be accessible to the general public (not in a gated community or restricted area).

How You Can Help: We invite community members to recommend facilities that meet these requirements. If you know of a location that could serve as a polling place, please share the contact information for the facility with us. We kindly ask that you do not contact the facilities directly on our behalf.

Submit Your Recommendations: Please use this form to provide any known information about the facility you would like to recommend.
