Cloudy Water Advisory
The water customers of Brunswick County Public Utilities in the Boiling Springs and Southport areas are experiencing cloudy or milky water due to an airlocked pump at the booster pump station in Winnabow. Water coming from your tap may appear cloudy or milky due to air bubbles. Cloudiness and air bubbles do not present a health risk.
If you notice cloudy water, fill a glass with tap water and let it sit for a few minutes. The cloudiness and air bubbles should naturally disappear.
