Scheduled Water Outage Advisory RESCINDED - Rob Gandy Blvd., Southport

Based on the findings of the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on 02.12.2026, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users located at:
- Rob Gandy Blvd. (addresses 5503, 5504, 5521, 5533)
in Southport, are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption. The system has resumed normal operation. Customers have been notified by door hangers and ReadyBrunswick.

Updated Time for Scheduled Water Outage – Rob Gandy Blvd., Southport

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the water main tie in work previously scheduled for 02.11.2026 is being delayed for 24 hours.
The new date and time are, 02.12.2026, beginning at 06:00 pm. Service is expected to be restored by 10:00 pm, 02.12.2026.
The same recommended precautions indicated below will apply during this outage as well. This advisory remains in effect until further notification is issued.

02.11.2026- Scheduled Water Outage – Rob Gandy Blvd., Southport

Due to a new water main tie in, Brunswick County water customers along Rob Gandy Blvd., in Southport, be out of service beginning at 06:00pm on 02.11.2026 to allow for the tie in to be made. Service is expected to be restored before 10:00pm on 02.11.2026 . This outage affects the addresses listed below:
- Rob Gandy Blvd. (addresses 5503, 5504, 5521, 5533 )
Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time. Please note that multiple fire hydrants will be out of service during this time. Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Twelve (12) commercial connections will be affected. Customers have been notified by door hangers and ReadyBrunswick. Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted.
