Plant Sale Pick-up and Gardening Expo

On Friday, September 20 from 9AM-3PM and Saturday, September 21 from 9AM-Noon, the Brunswick County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers are having their Online Plant Sale pick-ups at the greenhouse area of the Extension Office located in the Government Complex, Bolivia. Customers should come to pick up the plants they have already ordered online and previously paid for.
On Friday, several vendors will be available to shop with while you wait to load your plants.
Bertram Mobile Sharpening can sharpen your tools while you wait. Bring shovels, pruners, loppers, scissors, anvils clippers and more.
‘Going Native Gardens’ will bring Native perennials ready to add to your gardens. Joyce and Mindy will be there to answer any questions you may have on gardening with Natives.
Ed’s Plants is back again and is bringing his trailer full of plants. Expect to find Mums and colorful Fall annuals, Grasses, Rosemary, Hydrangeas, Blueberries, Ligustrums, Weeping Willow, Tibouchinas, Succulents and perennials for our zone.
Boiling Springs Lakes Garden Club will have their rain barrels on display for orders.
Richard Jones, a Carnivorous Plants expert, will have a selection of his Venus Fly-traps plants for sale and will educate you about the wonders of these amazing carnivorous plants.
Worm Country Castings will be selling 30 lb. bags of pure, dry organic worm castings. They are based in Bolivia on Midway Road.
The Extension Master Gardeners will have their propagation plants from the Botanical Garden for sale that includes several varieties of Elephant Ears, Mexican Petunias, American Crinum Lilies, Swamp Mallow, Ajuga, Daisies, Obedient Plants, Liatris and much more.

Think Ahead to Fall with the Online Master Gardener Plant Sale

Despite the summer’s heat, it is time to think about your fall plantings. The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Brunswick CountySM is bringing back their Fall Online Plant Sale featuring a wide selection of trees, evergreens, shrubs with spectacular blooms, and a diverse selection of favorites for the coastal garden. All plants are selected to thrive in our coastal area by Master Gardeners.
Visit the website www.bcmgva.org from August 21 through September 8 to place and pay for your order. Pick up your plants in person from September 20 through September 21 at the Brunswick County Extension Office, 25 Referendum Drive, the greenhouse area behind Building N, Government Complex, Bolivia, NC 28422.
