Under and by virtue of an Order of the District Court of Brunswick County, North Carolina, made and entered in the action entitled “County of Brunswick vs. Johnny Tharpe, Melonie Tharpe, et al,” the undersigned commissioner will on the 6th day of March, 2020, offer for sale and sell for cash, to the last and highest bidder at public auction, at the courthouse door in Brunswick County, North Carolina, in Bolivia at 12:00 noon the following described real property, lying and being in the State and County aforesaid, and more particularly described as follows:

For a tie line to the beginning point, begin at a stake in Gordon Page’s line which said stake is located in the run of Hangman’s Branch, and said stake being the southernmost corner of a 26 acre tract of land shown on a map entitled “Property of Bryan Meares which is to be conveyed to J.W. Ray”, as prepared by J.D. Long, Surveyor, on July 8, 1948, and recorded in Book of Maps 2 at Page 223, in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Brunswick County, and runs with the southernmost line as shown on said map North 75 degrees West 169 feet to a point, and then run North 7 degrees 15 minutes East 10 feet to a stake which is the beginning point of the property herein described; runs thence from said beginning point North 75 degrees West and parallel with the Southern line as shown on the map herein referred to a distance of 100 feet to a stake; thence North 7 degrees 15 minutes East 204 feet to a stake in the run of a small branch; thence with the run of said branch in an Easterly direction to a stake which bears North 7 degrees 15 minutes East from the BEGINNING point described above; thence South 7 degrees 15 minutes West to and with the Western line of a lot heretofore conveyed by the parties of the first part to Sally Benton 133 feet to the BEGINNING.
The sale will be made subject to all outstanding city and county taxes and all local improvement assessments against the above-described property not included in the judgment in the above-entitled cause. A deposit of 5 percent of the successful bid will be required.
