Funding Application Waiting List

Due to limited funding, the agency cannot assist all households that are in need of help. Since the need is greater than the funding received, our agency works from a waiting list. When open, preliminary applications are accepted and placed on a waiting list. When funding becomes available, you will be sent a letter to come in to complete the formal application and verify your household information.

Length of Time on the Waiting List

The length of time your application is on the waiting list depends on the number of applications ahead of yours and the amount of available funding. Housing agencies generally have long waiting list (3 -4 years). The BCPHA is working to eliminate long waiting lists by closing the application process when the HA has received an adequate pool of families to use its available funding. Once there is a significant drop in the number of families that are waiting for assistance, the list will be reopened.
