Upcoming Low-Cost Rabies Clinics on May 6, 2023
BOLIVIA, N.C. – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Animal Protective Services (APS) is partnering with local veterinary offices to offer low-cost rabies vaccination clinics on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The vaccination cost is $6 per animal.
North Carolina law (G.S. 130A-185) requires that all owned dogs, cats, and ferrets four months of age and older must be vaccinated against rabies. Owners must also keep the animal’s rabies vaccination status up to date throughout the animal’s entire lifetime. The penalty for failing to vaccinate your pet is a $100 citation.
