Equipment Rental Programs:

No-till Drill

The Brunswick County Farm Bureau/Brunswick Soil & Water Conservation District’s No-Till Drill Rental Program offers an opportunity for producers to utilize this equipment at a minimal cost of $10 per acre.  The drill is 10′ wide, and is raised/lowered with hydraulic cylinders.  A tractor with a minimum of 65 horse power is recommended for use.  Planting in the prior crop residue is one method for reducing soil erosion and improving water quality.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Aerator

The Brunswick County Farm Bureau/Brunswick Soil & Water Conservation District’s Aerator Rental Program offers an opportunity for producers to utilize this equipment at a minimal cost of $6 per acre.   A tractor with a minimum of 65 horse power is recommended.  This equipment is raised/lowered with hydraulic cylinders.  Utilization of an Aerator in a pasture reduces soil compaction and increases water infiltration.
