Statement on the Passing of Dr. Flint King, Brunswick County HHS Advisory Chairman
We are saddened to hear of the loss of our friend and colleague Dr. Flint King, chairman of the Brunswick County Health and Human Services Advisory Board. The late Dr. King was a dedicated public servant, serving nearly 25 years on the Board of Health and HHS Advisory Board as its veterinarian member. During his time on the Board, he guided Health Services with several initiatives and projects such as achieving local public health accreditation, mobile dental clinic services, and the construction of the County’s Animal Protective Services facility on Green Swamp Road in Supply, as well as expansion of many other public health programs that improved and advanced the health of our community. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and peers. We will strive to follow his legacy of compassion and care in our service to the residents of Brunswick County.
