Previous Advisories
Sept. 18, 2020 (Now Rescinded)

System Pressure Advisory: Oyster Bay

The water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities on Oyster Court, Oyster Pointe Drive, Resort Circle, Wedge Pointe Drive, Heritage Drive, Green Pointe Drive, Forest Pointe Drive, Bay Pointe Drive, Bonaparte Drive, East Calabash Drive, Woodbine Road, Mallard Court, Marshview Lane, Oak Ridge Plantation Drive, Ash Place, West Calabash Drive, River Ridge Place, Marshview Drive, Townview Drive, Oyster Bay Drive, Colony Place, and Oyster Shell Drive are experiencing periods of low water pressure and outages caused by a main line break.

Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increase the potential for back-siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system. Therefore, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the Division of Water Resources advise that consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation) or use bottled water. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further notification is issued.
