Scheduled Water Outage Advisory RESCINDED- Navassa
Based on the findings of the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on 03/31/25, Brunswick County Public Utilities water users located at:
- 9997, 1003, 1001, 1002, 1019, 1021, 1050 Old Mill Rd NE
- 1003, 1004, 1005, 1006,1007, 1009, 1010, 1011, 1012, 1013, 1014, 1015, 1017 Lake Shore Dr.
- 1395, 1415, 1477, 1487, 1497,1507, 1511, 1515, 1521 Sandy Ln.
in Navassa are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption. The system has resumed normal operation. Customers have been notified by door hangers.

Scheduled Water Outage
Due to new water main connections, Brunswick County water customers in Navassa Old Mill Road (Lake Shore Drive to Main Street), Lake Shore Drive, Myrtle Ave., and Sandy Lane will be out of service from 9:00 am on 3/31/25 to allow for a mainline interconnection to be made. Service is expected to be restored before 5:00 pm on 3/31/25. This outage affects the addresses listed below:
- 9997, 1003, 1001, 1002, 1019, 1021, 1050 Old Mill Rd NE
- 1003, 1004, 1005, 1006,1007, 1009, 1010, 1011, 1012, 1013, 1014, 1015, 1017 Lake Shore Dr.
- 1395, 1415, 1477, 1487, 1497,1507, 1511, 1515, 1521 Sandy Ln.
Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time. Please note: One fire hydrant on Old Mill Rd., One hire hydrant on Lake Shore Dr. will be out of service during this time. Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Twentynine (29) residential connections will be affected. Customers have been notified via door hanger. Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted.
