Due to new water main connections, Brunswick County water customers in Navassa along Royster Road, Cedar Hill Road, Bluff Hill Road, N. Navassa Road, and Broadway Street will be out of service from 9:00 pm on 5/20/25 to allow for a mainline interconnection to be made. Service is expected to be restored before 5:00 am on 5/21/25. This outage affects the addresses listed below:
- All Residences along Royster Road
- All Residences along Cedar Hill Road
- 430, 420, 400, 405, 405-1, 405-2, 401, 401-1, 401-2, 401-3, Bluff Hill Drive

Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time. Please note: multiple fire hydrants will be out of service during this time. Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Fifty-two (52) residential connections will be affected. Customers have been notified via door hanger. Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted.
