Due to water line construction, Brunswick County water customers located in the Dutchman Acres Community of Southport will be out of service from approximately 9:00 PM on Wednesday, 10/30/24 to 5:00 AM Thursday, 10/31/2024. This outage affects the addresses listed below.
- Longview Dr: All addresses
- Oakview Dr: All addresses
- Pineview Dr: All addresses
- Clearview Dr: All addresses
- Bayview St: All addresses
- Southport-Supply Rd: 4928 and 4934
Consumers will need to store water in containers during this outage, as water service will be temporarily turned off during this time.
Once water has been restored, Brunswick County Public Utilities and the NC Division of Water Resources advise consumers to boil all water or use bottled water for human consumption until further notice. Consumption includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation. Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
Sixty-seven (67) residential connections and one (1) commercial property will be affected. Customers have been notified via door hanger and ReadyBrunswick. Brunswick County will provide additional information when this advisory is lifted.

Based on the findings of the laboratory analysis of water samples collected on 10/24/2024, the water consumers of Brunswick County Public Utilities located in the Dutchman Acres Community of Southport at the addresses below are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water or use bottled water for human consumption.
